Pool Opens! for Saturday, May 29, 2021
As we get close to the pool opening, we want to share some information with everyone. With the new announcement that COVID restrictions are being lifted on June 2. The pool rules will be different than last year but we will continue some practices that we think made the pool experience better for everyone.
Our pool hours will be expanded back to our normal 11AM-8PM Tuesday through Sunday and 11AM-5PM on non-holiday Mondays. We are continuing with the Fore Tee’s reservation system. Many members liked to reserve a family pod and know they had a guaranteed space. Our day will be broken down into three reservation periods. Those reservation periods will be 11:00am to 1:45pm, 2:00 to 4:45pm and 5:00 to 7:45pm. For our first week or so, we will require reservations for all sessions and all seating areas. Just like last year, if there are open Family Pods for the next session you can stay, but we will not allow you to reserve two sessions in a row, in advance. Starting in June, we will have a first come first serve area that will allow anyone to just show up and find a chair or table. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we try to maximize the availability for the pool to our entire 400+ family memberships. Reservations will be available 7 days prior to all pool sessions. If you do not have the Foretees app or need a refresher just contact Laura at laurashaw@weymouthcc.com.
Our food operation will continue with deck service and ordering from the Foretees app. Like last year, you may order using the ForeTees app for all food and beverage items to be delivered to your space. You may come to the window to get any prepackaged food like ice cream, beverages and packaged snacks.
At this time, Hastings is not planning to offer swim lessons, but this could change with the recent change in orders by the Governor for June 2nd. We will make an announcement if they are available.
Our Memorial Day Pool Party will be close to prior years but there will still be social distancing requirements so we are requiring reservations for all sessions during the weekend. All reserved attendees will be participating in the party during the first two sessions and billed for the party package including any guests.
We are excited to add a new event to Memorial Day weekend. Friday night, May 28th, we are starting the summer with an adult only event. We will have a steel drum band, a great buffet and specialty drinks available (probably with a cute umbrella). Much more to be communicated on this prior to our opening on May 29th so watch your email.
